Live in East Anglia? Interested in kites? Then this is the club for you! The Suffolk Kite Flyers was established in 1993 by a small band of kite enthusiasts and currently have over 200 members interested in all aspects of kiting. We hold regular flying meetings, workshops, talks, publish a newsletter and participate in displays at local events and stage what has become a fantastic Kite Festival at Rougham Airfield near Bury St Edmunds. Third party club insurance covers all members at club events, with flying meetings held at Rougham Airfield most Sundays, also Needham Lake and Barking Tye are two other venues where we hold regular flying meetings. On B/H. Tuesday the 5th June we have been invited to undertake a kite display and run a kite making workshop at Southwold to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Celebrations. The event will be held opposite the pier at the boating lake. We need to meet on site approx 9.30am to setup ready for a start at 10.30am approx. until 16.00 hrs. Please support this event at the lovely sea side town of Southwold. Tea room on site and toilets near the pier.
